Cedar Point Opens to a Select Few
A Summit County program to help residents pay their rents and mortgages during the coronavirus pandemic is now accepting applications.
Through the Summit County CARES program, eligible residents will receive up to four months of rent or mortgage payments, up to $5,000, with the first round of payments expected to be dispersed in late July or early August.
The United Way will work directly with landlords and banks and issue payments directly to them, not to residents, for delinquent rent or mortgage amounts. The Summit County Department of Job and Family Services will determine eligibility for applicants.
The application period opened Monday and will remain open through July 17. Residents can apply online at summitcountycares.org
